James Hicks

James Hicks is a seasoned professional in sustainability and impact management with a diverse career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Sustainability Consultant at Leafr since September 2024, James is part of a selective platform that connects companies with top freelance sustainability consultants. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Impact Management at Bridges Fund Management Ltd. where James implemented impact management strategies and conducted assessments for private equity investments. James was also the Impact Data Lead at the Impact Management Project, facilitating collaboration among international standard providers to clarify measurement of social and environmental impacts. In earlier roles, James worked as an Associate at On Purpose and contributed to Lightful as a Project Manager. Before that, James gained valuable experience at M&G Investments, serving in multiple roles including Associate and Portfolio Analyst, and began a career in finance with internships at M&G Investments and PwC UK. James holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University.
