Kevin Kennedy

Kevin Kennedy joined the UL Board of Directors in 2020, bringing with him many years of experience as an engineering business leader. Having served in several leadership roles and as a member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, Kevin provides UL with valuable insight from his years of experience accelerating growth and managing major transformation.

Kevin is currently the CEO of Quanergy Systems a technology start-up in the realm of IoT sensors. Prior to serving as CEO of Quanergy, he previously served as president and CEO of Avaya, a communication software and services company, CEO and vice-chairman of JDS Uniphase, and chief operating officer ((COO) of Openwave Systems. Kevin has also held a variety of leadership and technical roles at Cisco and AT&T.
