Carolyn Jackson-Brown

Carolyn Jackson-Brown is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism & Sports Journalism at Leeds Trinity University since September 2016, with a background in teaching media and communication from various perspectives. Carolyn has served as a Resident Pianist for Bettys & Taylors since January 1999, providing an ambiance through piano music. As a PhD researcher at the University of Leeds from October 2013 to March 2018, Carolyn contributed actively to the academic community, also holding positions such as RTS Panel Judge for Student News Features and PhD Elected Representative. Carolyn's earlier work includes being a Video Storyteller and Avid Editor for Yorkshire Television, while also freelance editing for ITV Yorkshire from 1999 to 2010. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Communication Studies, an MA with Distinction in Social Research, and a BA(Honours) in Photography, Film & Television. Carolyn's extensive expertise encompasses journalism, media production, and academic instruction.
