Marija Djordjevic is a seasoned faculty member at Capilano University since August 2021, with extensive experience as a freelance costume and set designer for over 25 years, contributing to more than 70 productions across Europe, the USA, and Canada. Djordjevic has worked with prestigious organizations such as Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, where roles have included set and costume designer, and has a history of costume design for various productions, including ballets and theatrical performances. Educationally, Djordjevic holds an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Costume Design from the University of Belgrade. Teaching experience includes positions at the National Theatre School of Canada and Concordia University, alongside notable design contributions to productions for Repercussion Theatre and The Other Theatre.
