Hugues Scalbert

Hugues Scalbert is an experienced avocat at Gide Loyrette Nouel, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate law since 1989. In addition to this role, Hugues has served as the Responsable du bureau de Riyad for Lesaffre since 2013, and as an administrator for the Chambre de Commerce Franco-Arabe from 2011 to 2023 and HEC Paris from 2002 to 2008. Hugues also has a background in education as an instructor for the Master PGE specializing in international legal and tax strategy. Early in the career, Hugues engaged in cultural services as a volontaire du service national actif at the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia from 1988 to 1989. Hugues holds dual Master’s degrees in Business Law and Taxation, as well as International Law from Université Paris II - Panthéon-Assas, and completed an auditing program at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale in 2010.
