Dalmo Kang

Dalmo Kang is a seasoned leader in battery development, currently serving as the Vice President of the Advanced Battery Pack Development Center at LG Energy Solution since January 2019. In this role, Dalmo Kang oversees advanced development and simulations, focusing on design, safety, assembly, and production equipment for both pouch and cylindrical battery cells. Prior to this position, Dalmo Kang was the Vice President and Leader of Advanced Battery Pack and BMS at LG Energy Solution. Dalmo Kang also contributed to battery pack development as a Research Fellow at LG Chem from March 2006 to December 2022 and conducted research on the reliability of machine components as a Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology from July 2000 to July 2001. Dalmo Kang holds an MS/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.
