Steve Mann

Steve Mann is a prominent figure in the fields of wearable computing and engineering, currently serving as Chair of the Silicon Valley Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum and as a Full Visiting Professor at Stanford University. With a rich professional background, Mann has co-founded Meta Co. and held the position of Chief Scientist since 2013, while also serving as a member of the Advisory Board at Lifeboat Foundation. As the inventor behind EyeTap.org and owner of Splashtones, Mann has made significant contributions to technology with innovations such as electric eyeglasses and water-based musical sculptures. Steve is a founder and scientific advisor for Muse, the brain-sensing headband, and has previously served as Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Blueberry. Mann holds a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual degrees from McMaster University in Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering, while also professing at the University of Toronto since 1998.
