Barb McIntyre

Barb McIntyre serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the City of Lincoln and Lancaster County since April 2022, having previously held significant roles such as Director of the Human Resources Division at the Nebraska Department of Transportation from May 2020 to April 2022 and Director of Human Resources at JEO Consulting Group, Inc. from November 2016 to May 2020. With a robust background in human resources management, Barb has a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic talent management initiatives, fostering inclusive workplaces, and overseeing employee relations. Previous positions include Head of Human Resources for North America at Palfinger USA Inc. and Human Resources Director at Ameritas, where Barb was responsible for strategic planning and team management. Barb’s earlier experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager II for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, where responsibilities spanned various HR functions for a large employee base. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Doane University.
