Julie Abadie Oberg

Julie Abadie Oberg currently serves as the Director of Economic Development for Calvert County Government since January 2022. Previously, Julie held various positions at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, including Deputy Secretary and Communications Director, where responsibilities included strategic communications, policy guidance, and media relations. Prior to that, Julie was the Director of Communications for the Maryland Department of the Environment and worked as a Public Information Officer within the Maryland Department of Agriculture. Julie also gained experience as Communications Manager at the American Psychiatric Association and as Senior Account Executive at Hill & Knowlton. Julie holds a B.A. in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Maryland.
