Tori Thurmond

Tori Thurmond, MFA, currently serves as a Content Marketing Associate at KirkpatrickPrice since September 2022 and also holds the position of Lead Editor for "The Academy" at Waxing & Waning Literary Journal, where Tori oversees submission selections for publication. Additionally, Tori functions as a Poetry Editor for the same journal and has experience as a Contest Reader for April Gloaming Publishing, selecting finalists for poetry and novella awards. Tori's teaching experience includes roles as an instructor for Vanderbilt University's Programs for Talented Youth and as a teaching assistant during their summer academy. Previously, Tori contributed to the Eastern Washington University Writers' Center and served as a Poetry Editor at Willow Springs Magazine, managing extensive poetry submissions and editorial processes. Tori holds a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a focus on Poetry from Eastern Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from Lipscomb University.
