Dr. Zoe Danielle Hughes is a lecturer in psychology at Liverpool John Moores University since January 2024 and a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Central Lancashire since February 2019. With a focus on cognitive control mechanisms related to phishing attacks, Dr. Hughes researches human behavior, decision-making processes, and cognitive vulnerabilities in the Cyber Solutions Centre. Contributions to the Cognitive, Perception and Neuroscience group include psychophysiological research funded by the Bial Foundation. Dr. Hughes has also designed and delivered teaching materials across psychology modules and led cognitive field-based research for Wigan Warriors rugby team assessing concussion tools. A PhD was awarded in March 2023 for a thesis on the impact of mindfulness on creative cognition. Additional experience includes training COVID-19 test operatives and assisting with educational research on physical fitness and academic performance in primary schools.
