Andrew Wise

Andrew Wise is currently serving as the Laboratories and Research Facilities Manager at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine since October 2024. Prior to this, Andrew held the position of Principal Scientist and Laboratory Manager at Evotec from May 2021 to October 2024, and previously served as Scientist II and Research Scientist 1 (Microbiology) at the same company from July 2014 to 2021. Andrew's early career includes a role as Research Scientist 1 (Microbiology) at Euprotec Ltd from January 2012 to July 2014, where contributions were made to infectious disease and drug discovery services. Andrew began professional experience as a Biomedical Scientist at Countess of Chester Hospital, working there from February 2005 to January 2012. Earlier roles include positions at Glegg Arms hotel and restaurant and Southwestern Company. Andrew holds a degree in medical microbiology from Newcastle University and has A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Geography, and General Studies from Calday Grange Grammar School. Andrew is also a member of the Institute of Biomedical Science.
