Alex Smith

Alex Smith is an accomplished financial services professional with extensive experience in product management and strategy at Lloyds Banking Group since February 2013. Currently serving as the Head of Day to Day Payments, Alex oversees one of the UK's largest card portfolios, driving portfolio and product strategy, new product development, and commercial management. Prior roles include Senior Manager for Debit Cards and Specialist Savings Brands, leading product and business management teams across various savings brands. Alex's earlier experience includes consulting at Payment Card Technologies and leadership positions at Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank. Alex holds a Master of Science in Business & IT, a BA (Hons) in Industrial Relations & Economic History from the University of Strathclyde, and a Diploma in Corporate Treasury from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
