Nielson Hul

Nielson Hul is an experienced educator and professional in both language instruction and emergency medical services. Currently serving as an English Instructor at Los Angeles Harbor College and a Khmer Language Instructor at Long Beach City College, Nielson focuses on developing academic writing, critical thinking, and Khmer language skills for students aiming for transfer to four-year institutions. Nielson has also held roles as an English Teacher at Central Pacific College, an ESL Teacher at Language Systems International, and has worked as an instructional specialist to enhance student learning. In addition to academic roles, Nielson is a freelance Khmer Translator for Schreiber Translations Inc, ensuring accurate document translation. Nielson has a background as a Combat Medic in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve, providing critical emergency care and assistance during deployments. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Long Beach City College.
