Michael R. Christy

Michael R. Christy, MD, is a prominent plastic and reconstructive surgeon affiliated with Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC since July 2016 and serves as an Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Prior experience includes a tenure as Assistant Professor at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center/The University of Maryland and The Johns Hopkins Hospital from September 2004 to July 2013, and completing a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Southern California and Southern California Orthopedic Institute from August 2003 to August 2004. Dr. Christy completed a residency in Plastic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center from July 2000 to July 2003 and began their professional journey as a lab technician at Genetic Therapy, Inc from 1991 to 1993. Dr. Christy earned an M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine in 1997 and a BA in Biology from Drew University in 1988.
