Izhar Haq

Izhar Haq, PhD, currently serves as the Director of the School of Professional Accountancy and Associate Professor at Long Island University since September 2017. Prior academic roles include Visiting Professor at Auburn University and Visiting Assistant Professor at Suffolk University. With extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting from previous positions at Florida International University, including Deputy Controller and Faculty, Izhar Haq has also held leadership roles such as Associate Controller at Bertelsmann AG and Chief Financial Officer for the Latin American Division, as well as Controller and Finance Director roles at Sony Music Entertainment. Professional beginnings included a managerial position at PwC. Izhar Haq holds a PhD in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, a Master’s in Accounting, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering.
