Peter J. Bruno

Peter J. Bruno, MD has practiced medicine in Manhattan for the past 30 years. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann University, Philadelphia in 1975 and completed his internship and residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. In 1979, Dr. Bruno received the Upjohn Award for Academic Excellence. He was also honored with the Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Contributions by the Eye Bank for Sight Restoration

Dr. Bruno has been in private practice since 1979 and is an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He is the Chief Medical Advisor and Medical Director for Longeviti Health as well as Medical Director for the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Dr. Bruno was the internist for the New York Knickerbockers, the New York Yankees, the New York Liberty, the New York Rangers, the New York Citihawks, and the New York Hitmen. He has also served as the advising internist on medical aspects for the NBA. Dr. Bruno is also the Sports Medicine Consultant for The Sporting Life and The Golfer magazines. Dr. Bruno has appeared on Good Morning America, Good Day New York, CBS This Morning, Nightline and ABS World News.

Dr. Bruno is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has served on their Board of Trustees. Dr. Bruno has been published in respected medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine. He has written chapters in the Team Physician Handbook, the Spiral Manual of Sports Medicine and is the co-editor of the textbook, Sports Medicine: Primary Care and Rehabilitation.
