Kathleen Patterson

Kathleen Patterson has extensive experience in guest engagement and community-focused roles. Currently serving as Guest Engagement Supervisor at Longwood Gardens since February 2016, Kathleen oversees daily operations, manages shift rotations, and coaches team members to enhance guest experiences. Previous leadership positions include President of the Second District Neighborhood Planning Council, where Kathleen directed organizational goals and managed an annual budget, and Assistant to the Executive Director at Friends of Wilmington Parks, where event planning and grant management were key responsibilities. Kathleen also held the role of Civic Association President at the Ninth Ward Civic Association, facilitating community meetings and addressing local concerns. With a background in chemistry as a Research Coordinator at the Institute of Paper Science & Technology, Kathleen's academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Moravian University and a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Delaware.
