Samuel McGinty

Samuel McGinty serves as the General Counsel and Director of Legal Services at Loughborough University since June 2017, leading the in-house Legal Services team and providing strategic legal and compliance support to the University's leadership. Previously, Samuel held various legal roles, including Head of Legal Services and Head of Contracts at Loughborough University, and Place Team Leader at Coventry City Council. Samuel has been actively involved with professional organizations, including serving as a Committee Member for the Association of University Legal Practitioners and a Board Member for EM Lawshare. Education includes an LLB from the University of Leicester and an LLM in Legal Practice from De Montfort University, along with specialized training in Local Government Law.
