Michael Perniciaro

Dr. Michael Perniciaro has provided award-winning gynecological care to women of the Baton Rouge area for over 35 years. He offers a full range of services to patients at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare and specializes in colposcopies, hysterectomies, ovarian surgeries, and oophorectomies (removal of one or both ovaries). Before transitioning to a strictly gynecological practice in August 2017, he delivered over 10,000 babies – more than any OB/GYN in Louisiana.

Dr. Perniciaro attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He then went on to complete his medical internship at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, followed by an OB/GYN residency through Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Perniciaro is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Additionally, he is a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
