Michael Bijnens

Michael Bijnens is a psychotherapist in training currently working at Adagio since April 2022. With a background in psychology, Michael has engaged as a playwright with various theater companies such as NTGent, Younggangsters, Bronks, KVS, ITA, Wunderbaum, Orkater, and Laika since July 2013. In addition, Michael has been serving as a drama instructor at LUCA School of Arts since February 2021 and has held writing positions at Uitgeverij Pluim since September 2018 and Atlas Contact from September 2013 to July 2018. Academic pursuits include studies in psychotherapy at RINO Groep until December 2028, psychoanalytic therapy at Ghent University until June 2026, and a Bachelor and Master in Clinical Psychology from Open Universiteit completed in November 2022. Earlier education includes a Bachelor and Master in Theater Direction and Writing from Erasmushogeschool Brussel and an introductory year in German Language and Literature at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
