Brad Wilson

Brad served almost 8 years as CEO of BlueCross BlueShield of NC during which time the company successfully implemented the ACA and enjoyed strong customer and financial growth. He also served as COO and General Counsel during a 22-year career at BCBSNC. Before joining Blue Cross NC, he served as General Counsel to N.C. Governor James B. Hunt from 1992 to 1995 and was a practicing attorney from 1978 to 1992. Brad served 16 years on the UNC Board of Governors and Chaired the Board for 4 years. Has served on or Chaired a number of Gubernatorial Commissions on a variety of topics. He is recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest NC civilian honor. Brad received a BA from Appalachian State University, Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law, and MA from Duke University.
