Rob Engelen

Rob Engelen has over a decade of experience in the LED applications field, currently serving as Team Lead at Lumileds since May 2010, where previous roles included Customer Program Manager and System Engineer. Prior to Lumileds, Rob worked at Philips Applied Technologies as an Optical Designer from September 2008 to May 2010. Rob's academic background includes a PhD from FOM Institute AMOLF, where research focused on ultrafast investigations of slow light in photonic crystal waveguides, involving experimental, theoretical work, and extensive data analysis. Rob began a research career as a Researcher at the University of Twente in late 2003, following the completion of a Master’s degree in Physics from the same institution, obtained in 2003.
