Senior Associate Scientist at Luminary Therapeutics

Leslie Jonart has been working in the field of science since 2009. In 2009, they began their career as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Globe University, where they prepared and lectured materials for Earth Science, General Biology, and Environmental Science courses. Leslie also organized course related field trips and in-class activities during four-hour classes to diversify the classroom experience. In 2010, they joined the University of Minnesota as a Researcher 5, where they conducted Flow Cytometry, MNC cell culture, Elisa, Cell sorting by fluorescence, Magnetic bead based cell purification, Sectioning frozen tissue for downstream immunohistology, sectioning live tissue on vibratome for dual photon microscopy, Immunohistology and confocal microscopy, DNA isolation and q RT-PCR, organization of mouse colonies, breeding and weaning, mouse transplantation and infection via intraperitoneal, intravenous and intranasal injections, and Murine facial vein blood collection, harvesting tissues to prepare single cell suspension for downstream applications. In 2022, they began working as an Associate Scientist at Luminary Therapeutics, Inc.

Leslie Jonart earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Montana between 1996 and 2000. Leslie then went on to receive a Master's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Auburn University between 2000 and 2002.
