Yusuf Tufail

Yusuf Tufail is a distinguished Senior Scientist at Lundbeck since December 2019, focusing on neuro-capabilities to advance drug discovery for novel neuroinflammation and pain targets. In addition to this role, Yusuf has been a Consulting Scientist at BBA since June 2017 and previously served as a Project Scientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from November 2017 to December 2019, where significant contributions included identifying a molecular target for sonogenetics. Prior experience includes a position as Scientist in CNS at Regulus Therapeutics from September 2015 to May 2017 and a postdoctoral research associate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from April 2011 to August 2015. Yusuf holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Arizona State University (2007-2011) and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Physiology from the University of Arizona (2002-2006).
