Salim Belouettar

Salim Belouettar is a highly experienced research scientist currently affiliated with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) since January 2015. With a strong background in computational engineering and mechanics, Salim has held various prestigious positions, including Head of Unit and Senior Scientist at CRP Henri Tudor and Adjunct Professor roles at Wuhan University, where recognition included the 1000 Talents Award by the Chinese government. Salim's educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanics of Materials from Université de Lorraine and a postdoctoral habilitation from the University of Strasbourg. Additional international experience encompasses visiting scientist roles at numerous institutions such as Polytechnique Montréal, INSA Lyon, and Swansea University. Salim also founded and served as CEO of DEC-Engineering, specializing in structural analysis and design consultancy.
