Szmolnik Peter

Szmolnik Peter is a seasoned professional in internal audit and risk management, currently serving as the Deputy Head of Internal Audit at MagNet Bank since October 2022. Peter has extensive experience in executing ICAAP and risk-related audits, following up on MNB recommendations, and acting as the single point of contact to the local supervisor. Prior roles include Internal Auditor at MagNet Bank, Senior Financial Advisor at KPMG Hungary, and Internal Auditor and Project Manager at Raiffeisen Bank Zrt., with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and operational risk management. Peter's career began in auditing with the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority and included a position as a Senior Internal Auditor at the Central Bank of Hungary. Peter holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Actuarial Science from Corvinus University of Budapest and has a background in advanced studies.
