Mark Nilsen

Mark Nilsen is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in gaming and software development. Currently serving as the Gaming Studio Manager and AI Lead at MahiGaming since July 2023, Mark previously held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager and Co Head of Studio at Slingshot Studios from September 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included defining studio vision, product strategies, and managing profitability. Prior to Slingshot Studios, Mark was at Derivco from March 2006 to July 2022, progressing through various roles including Software Engineering Manager and Senior Software Development Manager. Mark's early career includes positions at Dataworld and GFC Consulting, focusing on web-based solutions in the real estate sector. Mark's educational background includes completing 18 credits towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Psychology and Informatics from the University of South Africa.
