Yonit Lax

Yonit Lax serves as the Director of the Brooklyn Parenting Center and holds multiple roles at Maimonides Medical Center, including attending physician in population health and chief of pediatric community health. Lax is also an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Medical Center since July 2018. Previous experience includes serving as pediatric chief resident and pediatric resident at Montefiore Health System from July 2013 to July 2017. Lax earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (2009-2013), a post-baccalaureate in pre-medicine from The Johns Hopkins University (2007-2008), and a Bachelor’s Degree from The George Washington University, focusing on international affairs (2003-2007).
