Nathaniel Oliver

Nathaniel Oliver is a highly experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Mainspring Energy since March 2019, following a progression from Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prior to this, Nathaniel was a PhD Candidate at Stanford University from September 2012 to December 2018, focusing on advanced energy systems. Nathaniel's academic contributions include supervising engine operations, designing high-pressure fuel supply systems, and serving as a Teaching Assistant for several thermodynamics and energy systems courses. Early career experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Pinnacle Engines and research roles at Stanford University and UC Santa Barbara, where Nathaniel engaged in various experimental and computational projects. Nathaniel holds a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a BS in the same field, all from Stanford University.
