Nishat Tabassum has extensive experience in managing programs and initiatives focused on social justice, public health, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Fund Excluded Workers Coalition Manager and previously as the Fund Excluded Workers Program Coordinator at Make the Road New York, Nishat has played a pivotal role in advocating for vulnerable populations. Past roles include serving as a Hunger Strike Consultant, Election Defenders Logistics Consultant at the Working Families Party, and a NUF Fellow/PrEP Specialist at NYC Health + Hospitals, where efforts were made to improve HIV prevention services. Further experience includes working as a Constituent Liaison in the New York State Senate, a Youth Development Specialist for the Peace Corps, and various leadership positions in youth programs and organizational development. Nishat holds a Master’s in Policy Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in International Studies from The City College of New York.
