Derek Naten

Derek Naten is an experienced leader in government affairs and patient advocacy, currently serving as Vice President at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals since September 2013. As a founding member of the Government Affairs & Advocacy Relations team, Derek directs lobbying activities, alliance development, and patient assistance programming while managing a multi-million-dollar budget. Prior to this role, Derek held several positions at Bayer from April 2002 to September 2013, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy, where strategic management of the Western Region Government Affairs team was a key responsibility. Derek's career also includes significant roles at Roche in External & Government Affairs and the California State Senate as Legislative Director, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/International Relations from California State University, Chico.
