Kandavel Manickam

Kandavel Manickam currently serves as a Technical Specialist at MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre since January 2024. Previously, Kandavel held positions as Principal R&D Engineer for Hydrogen Systems at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult from April 2023 to January 2024, and as Programme Manager and Research Scientist at the University of Nottingham from August 2012 to March 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Chemical Engineer at SunEdison Energy India Private Limited and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and University of Picardie Jules Verne, focusing on hydrogen storage materials. Kandavel obtained a PhD in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, a Master of Science in Applied Sciences - Materials Science from PSG College of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya.
