Vipin Ahlawat

Vipin Ahlawat is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in higher education and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Director of IT Services and CIO at Loughborough University since June 2014, Vipin leads the development and implementation of the university’s digital strategy and oversees award-winning IT services. Additional roles include membership on the Audit Committee for the Manufacturing Technology Centre and the Board of Trustees for ucisa. Previously, Vipin held significant positions at the University of Leicester, Pearson Education, QCA, Sharp Electronics, and Rapra Technology Ltd, demonstrating expertise in information systems, infrastructure design, project management, and service delivery. Educational credentials include a BSc in Chemistry from The University of Manchester and an MA in International Relations from Nottingham Trent University.
