Rodney Briggs is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Maple Bear Global Schools Ltd., which was established in 2003 in North Vancouver, British Columbia. After retiring as the company's first CEO, Rodney continues to be actively involved as a shareholder. In addition to this role, Rodney is the President of the Canadian Wildlife Federation Foundation since April 2021 and serves as a board member for both the Finca Cántaros Environmental Association and the Canadian Education Center Network. Previously, Rodney held the position of President at the Canadian Education Center Network from 1997 to 2007, where a not-for-profit network was created to attract international students to Canadian educational institutions. Additional experience includes serving as Vice-President Education at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and working as a Foreign Service Officer for Global Affairs Canada. Rodney began a career in journalism in public and private broadcasting prior to pursuing a higher education in Comparative Religion and International Relations at the University of Manitoba.
