Erica Bates

Erica Bates is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, and community engagement. Currently serving as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Relations at Chelsea Piers since January 2002, Erica also holds the position of Senior Strategist for Media and Community Relations at MKC Strategies, LLC since December 2019. In addition to practical roles, Erica imparts knowledge as an Adjunct Professor at both Marist College and New York University since January 2022 and January 2020, respectively. Previous positions include Vice President of Public Relations at iWon/Excite and Account Supervisor roles at Cohn & Wolfe and Taylor, alongside an earlier position as Account Executive at Rubenstein Associates. Erica Bates earned a degree from Tulane University and completed high school at Riverdale Country School.
