Arno Junke

Arno Junke is a legal and insurance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Partner at PRS Prime Re Services AG and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Markel Insurance SE since March 2021, Arno has also been active in advisory capacities as a member of the Board of Advisors for DVfVW e.V. and the Head of the Advisory Board for ARIAS Germany. With a legal career that began in 1993, Arno has held significant positions including Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Rückversicherung AG and Chairman of the Board of Directors for multiple companies, notably DR Swiss AG and DEUTSCHE RUCK UK REINSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED. Arno Junke’s academic background includes a Doctorate in Law from the University of Cologne and various qualifications in legal studies from institutions such as the University of St.Gallen and the Landesjustizprüfungsamt in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
