Anand Varma

Anand Varma currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for EMEA and APAC, as well as Head of Post-Trade Technology at MarketAxess since December 2024. Prior to this role, Anand held multiple senior leadership positions at London Stock Exchange Group, including Chief Information Officer for London Stock Exchange Plc and Head of Equities Technology. Experience at Barclays Investment Bank involved leading European Equities Electronic Trading Technology, with earlier roles at Barclays encompassing Vice President and Assistant Vice President in Equities Technology and Execution Connectivity Services. Anand's career began as a Software Engineer at both Oracle in Financial Services and the National Stock Exchange of India. Anand holds an M.B.A. from London Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai.
