Leandro Rubio Faria

Leandro Rubio Faria is an experienced healthcare professional and entrepreneur currently serving as the CEO of Starbem, a healthtech company dedicated to democratizing quality medical care in Brazil. Leandro is also involved in an acceleration program at MaRS Discovery District focusing on North American product-market fit and fundraising strategies. Previous roles include participation in the Techstars Toronto Accelerator and founding MISSÃO COVID. Leandro has an extensive medical background as an interventional cardiologist, having worked at Hospital Samaritano Higienópolis and as a coordinator of cardiology at Hospital Samaritano. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Healthcare Systems Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a fellowship in interventional cardiology from Instituto Dante Pazzanese de Cardiologia, complemented by training at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in innovative healthcare leadership.
