Timothy Chizmar

Timothy Chizmar, MD, FACEP, FAEMS, currently serves as the State EMS Medical Director at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, a position held since July 2012, along with roles as Assistant State EMS Medical Director and Region III Medical Director. Since June 2024, Timothy Chizmar has been practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician with US Acute Care Solutions. Prior experience includes being an Emergency Physician at Maryland Emergency Medicine Network Physicians, LLC from July 2010 to May 2024, as well as holding the position of Medical Director for Harford County Government and Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS. Timothy Chizmar's medical training was completed at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where an Emergency Medicine residency was undertaken from June 2007 to June 2010. Timothy Chizmar earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Loyola University Maryland.
