K.R. Paramesvar

K. R. Paramesvar was one of the Managing Partners of the Company and joined the Board in May 1998. He resigned as Managing Partner before joining the Audit Committee as Chairman in August 2002. He is an Electrical Engineer and has a diverse industrial background spanning over 40 years. He began his career in 1955 with the Planning Commission of the Government of India. He was assigned to the newly formed Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (“BHEL”) and was trained in the USSR and the US in various aspects of industrial management. After his assignment with BHEL, he moved back to the Planning Commission and later headed the Indian Standards Institution (subsequently renamed the Bureau of Indian Standards), which sets product / quality standards and systems for a wide variety of industries.
