Eric Herbek

Eric Herbek serves as the Chief Managed Care Officer at Mass General Brigham since January 2022, overseeing payer and managed care strategy, including financial and administrative performance across various contracts. Prior to this role, Eric held the position of VP, Business Strategy & Integration for MDLIVE at Evernorth, where responsibilities included Virtual Care for Cigna/Evernorth Businesses. From November 2016 to September 2020, Eric was VP of Product and Network Contracting at Kaiser Permanente, managing health plan product and network management. Eric's tenure at Cigna spanned over 14 years, progressing from roles in product development, consumer health engagement, and management, to financial oversight in underwriting and consultative positions. Early experience includes serving as a Senior Associate at Arthur Andersen and as a Financial Officer in the US Air Force, where responsibilities included managing financial strategies for significant acquisition projects. Eric holds a BS in Materials Science from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA in Finance from Wright State University.
