Sean Donaghy

Sean Donaghy is an experienced energy management professional currently serving as the Director of Energy Programs at MBTA since October 2015, with previous roles including Manager of Energy Programs and Energy Management Analyst. At MBTA, Sean has created and monitored a substantial utility budget, procured long-term energy supply contracts, and implemented projects to enhance energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sean has also played a significant role in overseeing the Energy Management System, compliance with environmental legislation, and participation in ISO-NE Wholesale Electricity Markets. Prior experience includes managing sustainability initiatives at the American Public Transportation Association and conducting sustainability research for MBTA. Sean holds a BA in Environmental Science from Boston University.
