Janet Mercier

Janet Mercier serves as the Chief People Officer at the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association since September 2024, where responsibilities include developing HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives and improving existing processes. Prior to this role, Janet was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at May Institute from September 2014 to May 2024, leading a team to advance human capital strategies. Janet also held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Five Star Senior Living, overseeing HR functions for a large workforce across multiple states. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Director of Human Resources at Caritas Christi Health Care and Corporate Director of Equal Opportunity at UNICCO Service Company. Earlier in Janet's career, roles included Associate at Uehlein, Cunningham & Machanic, and In House Counsel at American Investigative Services. Janet holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Musical Performance from Boston University.
