Julie Schleicher

Julie Schleicher is the Coordinator of Orientation and Student Engagement at MassBay Community College. Julie has over fifteen years of experience working in student affairs and developing programming for students.

Julie started their career as an Assistant Director of Student Activities at Curry College where they advised the Campus Activities Board, coordinated campus wide events, and co-coordinated New Student Orientation. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating the campus climate to determine areas of focus for the office and took part in many campus-wide committees. Julie also developed and coordinated a Student Leadership Conference for student leaders on-campus and Student Leaders of visiting colleges.

After leaving Curry College, Julie spent a brief period working in the private sector before returning to higher education as the Coordinator of Orientation and Student Engagement at MassBay Community College. In this role, they are responsible for planning and executing all orientation programs for new students, as well as coordinating student engagement initiatives throughout the year. Julie has been instrumental in helping MassBay students transition to college life and feel like they belong on campus.

Julie Schleicher has a Masters of Education from Salem State University in Higher Education - Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State University in Communications with a Math Minor.
