Chidinma Lawanson

Chidinma Lawanson is the Country Head for Nigeria at Mastercard Foundation since January 2020, focusing on implementing the Young Africa Works strategy to enable 30 million young people, especially women, to secure dignified employment by 2030. Previous roles include Independent Subject-Matter Consultant for the African Development Bank Group, Independent Consultant specializing in payment services for Development Pathways Ltd, and Consultant at the International Finance Corporation. Chidinma served as Chief Executive Officer at EFInA, which aims to improve financial systems for the poor in Nigeria, and held several leadership positions at Diamond Bank Plc, spanning from Deputy General Manager to Assistant Manager across various divisions. Chidinma holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry, two post-graduate diplomas in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship, and extensive experience in financial services and consulting across Africa.
