Catharine Maitner

Catharine Maitner is an experienced mathematics educator with a strong background in teaching various math subjects, including Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Calculus, and AP Statistics. Currently serving as a Mathematics Teacher at Stuyvesant High School since September 2018, Catharine has also been a Master Teacher Fellow with Math for America since August 2022 and a Summer Mathematics Teacher for the REACH Program at Regis High School since July 2018. Previous teaching roles include Upper School Mathematics Teacher at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and student teaching experiences at Mott Hall II School and Baruch College Campus High School. Catharine holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Georgetown University, complemented by notable roles in academic and arts-focused settings.
