Julia Burke is currently an advisor at MathBRIX. Julia previously worked as an associate superintendent in the Hazelwood School District from July 2015 to June 2018, where they were in charge of human resources. From July 2004 to June 2015, they served as the assistant superintendent in charge of student services for the district, including the departments of school safety, enrollment/residency, health services, and the Safe Schools Healthy Student Initiative. Julia also spearheaded the writing and development of the SSHS Initiative, a 6 million dollar federal grant. In addition, Julia Burke was also responsible for the district's guidance and counseling program, social worker services, special education programs, and homeless services. Prior to their work in the Hazelwood School District, they served as the director of special education in the Special School District of St. Louis County from January 2000 to January 2004.
Julia Burke is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration at Saint Louis University. Julia earned their B.S. in Communication Disorders from Saint Louis University and their M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
