Maxwell Social is Shopify for Local Social Clubs -- 50 years ago there were thousands of local social clubs in New York City alone -- everyone from Sicilian ex-pats to Polish war vets and Scandinavian cycling enthusiasts had their own spot that they funded themselves and ran themselves -- you could say they were the original IRL DAO. Social clubs were where everything happened: from anniversaries to funerals and business deals to celebrations.
Maxwell Social is building the tech stack to allow any group of friends to form their own local social club -- fundraise from members (via NFTs), curate your community (via DAOs), empower them to cook, mix drinks and entertain in the space and run your club operations all from one platform.
We're spinning Maxwell Social out of Maxwell Tribeca, our very own social club we're founding that is 3 months away from launch, has raised 700k from members and 1.5M from sponsors. Our seed round currently has 700k spoken for by the likes of Balaji Srinivasan, Vinny Lingham and more.
