John Karabin

John Karabin is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications sectors across government and commercial markets in the APAC region. Currently serving as the Chief Cyber Security Strategist at McGrathNicol since April 2024, John has held various leadership positions, including National Director of Cybersecurity at NTT and National Director of Cyber Security at Dimension Data. As a former Partner at EY, John led the Government Risk Information Security practice for the Oceana region. John's extensive career includes senior roles at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Cybertrust, and Betrusted, focusing on IT security and managed services in federal government markets. John holds a Graduate Diploma in Technology Management from Deakin University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering from Curtin University.
